Why CSA Exists.

The Colored Speedway Association exists to preserve a remarkable chapter of American motorsports history while creating new opportunities for future generations. Inspired by the original Colored Speedway Association founded in Indianapolis during the 1920s, the CSA honors the racers, innovators, and pioneers whose contributions helped shape motorsports despite facing barriers to participation and recognition.

Today, the CSA serves as a bridge between legacy and opportunity—celebrating the past, engaging the present, and helping build a more connected future for motorsports culture. Through storytelling, community building, education, events, media, and membership, we are committed to preserving history, expanding access, and inspiring the next generation of participants, fans, and leaders.

The legacy began on the track. The future is being built together.
